TRAX3D is here for the community. Help me make it better and better!
Not tied to one feature: a donation to TRAX3D as a whole, for the servers, the tools and the time it takes. Share this link wherever you like.
TRAX3D is free and carries no advertising. But free for you does not of course mean that TRAX3D costs nothing. Several kinds of cost are what keep TRAX3D online, reliable and moving forward.
That is why I am so pleased with every donation.
Your donation does more than keep TRAX3D available. You also get a vote on the new features and content you would like to see added.
For every wish I set a concrete goal amount. Once that goal is reached, I build that feature or that content.
Below you can see exactly which wishes there are, what the goal is, and how much has been given already.
TRAX3D runs on professional web servers. What we pay for there is not only the server capacity, but the support and the infrastructure that come with it.
TRAX3D is not a small project any more. Programming, testing, running it and publishing new versions all take professional tools. They cost money, but they are also what lets me develop quickly without giving anything up on quality and reliability.
TRAX3D uses textures, 3D models, icon sets and other material. Where a licence is needed I buy one. Where I use open source material, I donate an amount to the makers where I can, as thanks for their work.
Perhaps the biggest cost of all: my time. I work for myself, and I would rather spend as much time as I can on maintaining, supporting and developing TRAX3D. That is time I cannot spend on other work. Your support is what makes more of it possible.
This work really does run on litres of coffee. And by now it is getting serious: it is sometimes a choice between my daughter's tuition fees and coffee.
I don't know how hard that choice looks to you, but I am teetering rather badly. 😉

French and Italian translations are on their way, but many more countries have thriving model railway communities, and we would like to serve everyone in their own language. Let's start with the languages of three countries with a vibrant model railway culture: Czech Republic, Poland and Spain.

Not every wish will reach its goal straight away. That does not mean nothing happens with it.
Every wish stays on the roadmap. As soon as I have time for extra development, the wishes with the most support from the community come first.
So the community helps decide where my development time goes.
You do not have to give a large amount to help. Every donation helps me set aside a piece of my free time for TRAX3D.
A few euros may seem like little, but when many people give a small amount it soon adds up to hours of development time. And every extra hour makes TRAX3D a little better again.
Small donations from many people can make a big difference in the end.
Help TRAX3D grow. Donate, support the development, and help decide what I build next!
Thank you very much for your support. ❤️
