Who we are

TRAX is run by the business named on the contact page, established in the Netherlands and registered with the Chamber of Commerce. We are the controller of your personal data. If you have a question, reach us through the contact page.

What we keep, and why

We keep only what running the site needs.

• Account details: your name, your email address and your password as a hash. Needed to sign you in and to manage your account, as performance of the agreement.
• Profile details: whatever you fill in about yourself, your town, country, language and a photograph, plus whether you want the newsletter. You fill these in and you can change or empty them at any time.
• Saved layouts, so you find them again.
• Forum posts: what you share on the forum, so the community can work together and discuss.
• Donation details: the amount, your name, your email address, any message you leave with it and the payment's reference. Needed to account for the donation and to keep our books. Kept for as long as tax law requires.
• Faults and logs: report a fault and we keep the report, the log you send with it, the files you attach and the page and browser it happened on, to solve the problem.
• Your IP address is used briefly as a key to keep abuse down, when signing in, resetting a password, reporting a fault and posting on the forum. We do not keep it with your account and we infer nothing from it.
• Voluntary details about yourself: your country, your year of birth and your gender, if you fill them in. We use them only in aggregate, to see who builds with TRAX3D and where to aim. They are not shown on your profile, we never decide anything about you with them, and you can empty them at any time. The basis is your consent, which emptying them withdraws.

What we do not do

We sell our members' information to nobody. No advertising, no selling your data, no third-party tracking and no profiling by where you are. Which banner photograph you see is worked out from your language and your profile, never from your location.

Cookies

Only cookies that are strictly necessary for the site and the editor to work: one to remember your session, one to hold your choice of language, and a couple of small preferences inside the editor. No cookies for advertising, analytics or any other collection. The typeface is served by us as well, so opening a page sends no request to a third party.

Email

We write to you about your account, about a report you made, and about a feature you contributed to. A newsletter only goes to people who agreed to one beforehand, and every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link. If a message bounces we note it and send nothing more to that address.

Who we share with

Only with the party that runs our server and mail, and with Mollie to handle a payment safely. Nobody else. Where we use a service whose servers stand outside the European Economic Area, we put proper safeguards in place, such as approved standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Generally for as long as your account exists. Payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires, even once your account is gone.

Your rights

Under privacy law, the GDPR among it, you have several rights.

• You may see what we hold about you.
• You may have data corrected or erased.
• You have the right to portability: you may ask for your data in a convenient, machine-readable format.
• Ask through the contact page and we will arrange it.
• If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the national supervisory authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Closing your account

You can do it yourself, on your account page. Your account, your layouts, your notifications and your photograph go at once. What you wrote on the forum stays, or other people's conversations would be full of holes. A support conversation you had with us is also kept; ask through the contact page and we will remove it.
