Your layout is finished, or at least good enough to show. There are three ways.

In the showcase

Go to My projects, click Edit the information on your layout and turn Visible to everybody on.

From that moment your layout stands in the showcase, where anybody can find it, look at it and like it. Visitors can open it in 3D and turn around it themselves — they cannot edit it.

Turn Allow comments on as well and other people can respond under it.

What you fill in counts: the description and the tags are what people search on. And the make and the scale need not be filled in — TRAX reads those from the track libraries your layout was saved with, so it is findable on Peco H0 or Märklin straight away.

In a post on the forum

Paste your layout's link on a line of its own in a post on the forum, and that line becomes the layout itself: the photograph, the name and the builder. Click it and the reader is in the 3D viewer, in the middle of the post.

That only works if your layout is visible to everybody. If it is private, it stays an ordinary link.

On your own site

The viewer is free to use. Put it in an iframe on your own page and your visitors can walk through it without needing an account:

The number after projectID is your layout's number; it is in the address bar when you open it. mode=VIEW matters: that is the viewer, in which visitors can look around but change nothing.

This only works for a layout that is visible to everybody.

The photograph

The picture beside your layout is made by the editor itself, every time you save. It looks for a viewpoint that brings your whole layout into frame, from the long side, 45 degrees above — and it turns the labels, the dimensions and the handles off for the moment, so that the photograph shows the layout and not the tools.

Want another photograph? Turn the camera the way you want it and save again.
